Happy Holidays to you and your family and friends. All of us at the Refugee Response and the Ohio City Farm would like you to consider being a bridge builder this year to aid our newest families in their transition and for the Refugee Response to be able to keep responding to the real issues in our community.
The Refugee Response is entering our 9th year of operations this coming January. Thank you for being a part of the work we have accomplished and we hope you will continue to be a part of our future.
2018 has proven to be a year unlike any other. Challenges continue for families here and across the world, yet we are now better prepared and equipped to do our part.
This year the Refugee Response has reached more women, children and families than ever. Two new programs have been launched working with Afghan women and refugee teens in Cleveland’s public school system. The Ohio City Farm has successfully pivoted to a strong business model and is creating employment on the success of our sales.
You can read a recent story about our work in the Plain Dealer and online here.
This year we have decided to continue to reach out across boarders. Many of the roots of our organization started in refugee camps in Northern Thailand. We want to acknowledge our origins and our connections across boarders. This year 5% of our annual appeal will go to will go to refugee students on the border of Thailand and Myanmar and their school.
In these times of uncertainty, we are responding, building and reaching out beyond our borders. We hope you consider continuing to be a part of our work and to be a bridge builder.
Yes. I want to be a bridge builder!
